I like this joke. I don't like the art. The third panel really annoys the hell out of me (what a crappy pose) and it suffers from my use of that thick black marker I mentioned in the last commentary.It's hard to come up with jokes like this one. You need two people living in two separate worlds with a common world that is easily misinterpretable by each other, and the humour comes from the misinterpretation of each other's behavior. To make it a tough act, the misinterpretaion has to be believable. If it isn't believable, the whole thing looks forced and unnatural. Some of my strips have that problem, but I think this is not one of them. To me, the idea that Kenta's grabbing his crotch outside where his mother is showering explained by his need to go pee real bad is a very buyable explanation considering his mom gives the reader a much more perverse explanation in the first and second panel.
I wish I could do jokes like this EVERY week. And I wish I could go back and redo that third panel.
