| COMMENTARY |
| My friendship with Tang goes back to when I first started doing web comics. We became fast friends, and worked on a number of projects together, beyond counting. Tang was also an original inspiration for the comic. His Weekly Comic has been going on for over 5 years, which meant that weekly comics ARE viable. In IRC we had talked about doing a crossover comic, and the first panel is pretty much a word-for-word telling of our conversation. Of course, NO ONE should allow me to use their characters in the comic, and I produced the comic you see there. When I was finished, I showed it to Tang in IRC. He didn't reply for 5 minutes. It was a pretty long five minutes. Finally, he said, "I'll be back." and logged off. A few hours later, he produced this comic. I don't know if Tang was ever pissed off at the comic, but the result was pretty damn funny. Man, do I ever look like a pirate. Strip Published Online: July 5 1999.
